WEFT
A synth that weaves what you just played into the note you are holding.
WEFT is a phase-modulation synth that can read its own sound back in fragments. Play a phrase, hold a note, and WEAVE folds the notes you just played into it, in the order you played them. They are kept to consonant intervals, so the sound moves without getting messy.

What it does
The parts that make WEFT different, in plain words.
WEAVE
Your last eight notes come back inside the held sound, in the order you played them, on unisons, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths and octaves. Free-running, or locked to the tempo.
Direct or in fragments
FRAGMENTS moves from a steady tone to small pieces read back from a wandering position. GRAIN, WANDER and FREEZE shape the texture.
Slow movement built in
KEEP sustains a note, WIND adds a drift over tens of seconds, and WEAR adds tape-like age. On the MOD page, eleven settings and the character itself move on their own. NEW rolls a fresh sound.
See it, keep it
The ORBIT display draws the sound against itself, so you can see what you hear. 39 presets, A/B compare and undo. Drag the last 8 bars out as audio.

Questions
Dragging 8 BARS into Ableton Live gives me MIDI notes instead of audio.
Drop it on an audio track, or on the empty space below your tracks. Live turns audio dropped on a MIDI track into notes.
KEEP turned off by itself when I pressed Return.
After you click a WEFT button (KEEP, FREEZE, NEW, MORE, MOD), pressing Return clicks that button again. If that happens, click the button again or press Cmd+Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows). Before you press Return in your DAW (in Logic, Return goes to the start), click outside the WEFT window. In the standalone app, click an empty part of the window first. This will be fixed in WEFT 1.0.2.
