Rhythm from recordings
MOSAIC
Keep the rhythm. Change what it is played on.
MOSAIC listens to a loop: where each hit lands, how hard it is, and its small timing shifts. Then it plays the groove again with recordings of other things, such as wood, metal, skin or strings. Same groove, new instruments.

What it does
The parts that make MOSAIC different, in plain words.
Your groove, other materials
Hit positions, accents and timing stay as played. Only the sound changes. Pick one of ten materials, from wood and metal to nature and keys, or add your own sounds with MINE.
Near or far
One control sets how close each new sound is to the original hit. Near keeps the feel; far turns a snare into something else. Variation lets each section change as the loop repeats.
Up to four roles
MOSAIC splits a loop into up to four roles, from the darkest (like a kick) to the brightest (like a hi-hat). For each one, replace the sound, keep the original or mute it, then tune, bend and shape the tone.
In key when you want it
Pitched materials can follow a key and a harmony, with an optional short melody, grace notes and fills. MOSAIC FX goes on a drum track: it replaces each hit as it arrives, and can tune them to a key and harmony too.

Questions
Which time signatures does it work in?
Made for songs in 4/4 (it plays in other time signatures too, counting four beats as a bar).
Where does the audio I drag from MOSAIC (DRAG 8 BARS) go?
Since MOSAIC 1.0.1 it is kept in Music › Frond Grid › MOSAIC drags, and MOSAIC never deletes it. Audio you dragged with 1.0.0 is in a temporary folder, so copy it into your project: https://frondgrid.com/support/#mosaic-drag
